Terms of Service
Last updated: September 8, 2026
1. Welcome to CONect
CONect (“we”, “us”, “the service”) is a social network for convention-goers — profiles, friends, messaging, and official convention pages. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use CONect.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old (or older, if your country requires it) to sign up. Keep your password safe — you're responsible for everything done from your account. Use a real, working email so we can reach you and confirm your identity. Don't share your login, and let us know right away if someone gains access.
Each person gets one account. Don't make extra accounts to dodge a block, ban, or limit, and don't impersonate another person or convention.
3. Your profile and content
You own your posts, messages, badge info, cosplay plans, and anything else you add to CONect. You give us permission to host and display that content within the service — showing it to people you share it with, listing it on convention pages, and so on.
Display names, bios, fandom tags, and social handles are public. You control which profile sections are visible to others from your settings, but anything you post publicly can be seen, saved, or shared by other people.
Social handles are display-only. Connecting a handle doesn't give CONect (or anyone else) permission to pull posts or images from that platform — that only happens when you turn it on for a specific upload.
4. Conduct
CONect is a community. When you use it you agree to:
- Keep things amicable. Be kind and respectful, even when you disagree. No harassment, hate, threats, bullying, or pressuring anyone into a conversation they don't want.
- CONect is for adults (18+). Grown-up topics may come up in conversation, but only as respectful discussion between people who are comfortable with it — stop when asked. Unwanted sexual messages and anything involving minors are never allowed.
- Pictures must stay suitable for a general audience. You agree not to upload or share pornographic, nude, sexually suggestive, fetish, gory, violent, self-harm, or hateful images. Cosplay and convention photos are welcome as long as they follow this rule.
- Not spam, scam, or coordinate raids on other users or conventions.
- Not upload content you don't have the right to share.
- Not scrape, automate, or overload the service, or try to break its security.
- Follow the rules of any convention, venue, or platform you reference.
We moderate with a language filter, automatic picture checks, and user reports. Pictures are reviewed automatically before they are posted, and anything that looks explicit, gory, or unsuitable for a general audience is refused. Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, a block, a suspension, or a permanent ban.
5. Reporting and blocking
You can report messages, profiles, or content that breaks these terms, and block any user so they can't contact you. Our admins review reports and may act on them. We don't guarantee a specific outcome or timeframe.
6. Convention pages and claims
Convention pages are community references. Organizers can claim a page and, after admin review, receive a verified badge. Claiming a page you don't run is not allowed and can get your claim denied or your account removed.
Suggested conventions are reviewed before they're added. We may edit or reject suggestions, and we may remove or archive convention pages that are inaccurate, abandoned, or misused.
7. No warranty
CONect is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We can change, pause, or shut down features — or the whole service — at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CONect and its operators aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service — including lost data, missed events, interactions with other users, or content posted by others.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms? Use the report or feedback options in the app, or reach the team through the contact details shown in the app. We'll do our best to help.
